Race schedule Etna Sky Race 2011

Etna Valetudo Skyrace takes place in a location which has scenery which is difficult to find elsewhere in the world, on the slopes of a volcano where we can find recent lava flows where no living creatures have yet settled, as well as older lava flows where clusters of larches and birches are growing. Mt Etna frequently erupts: during the last 30 years, at least one eruption every has been reported every three years. These eruptions have lasted from 5 days to more than a year.

Athletes and supporters arrival in Catania, free time for a visit of its historical centre. At La Colleggiata restaurant, Via Collegiata 3/5 (at the corner with Piazza Università), Catania city centre.
From 5pm to 7pm: numbers pick up
6.15 pm: discussion - skyrunning and trail running, running close to the sky meeting and discussion with the athletes of the Valetudo Skyrunning team: Emanuela Brizio skyrunning and ultraskyarathon champion, Cecilia Mora skyrunning and ultra trail champion, Mikhail Mamleev skyrunning an Orienteering champion, Fenaroli Maurizio skyrace champion, Giancarlo Costa Runningpassion journalist.
7 pm possibility of dinner, special price menu (15 €)

Sunday, November 6 

7.00 am. Citelli refuge. Number pickup. 8.45 am. Briefing.
9.00 am. Etna Valetudo Sky Race official start.
11.30 am. Estimated time for athletes arrival.
2.00 pm.Shuttle bus 1 from Ragabo refuge to Citelli refuge. 2.15 pm. Shuttle bus 2 from Ragabo refuge to Citelli refuge. 2.30 pm. Shuttle bus 3 from Ragabo refuge to Citelli refuge. 3.00 pm. Zafferana Etnea town hall. Etna Valetudo Sky Race prize-giving, and MRIC prize-giving
